Overview

This position main responsibility includes ensuring the accurate and timely management of customer balances, overseeing, coaching and development of the Billing team for DIRECTV Caribbean. This person will have a direct reporting line to the Finance and Accounting Manager and will require close collaboration with various business partners.


What You Will Do

  1. Set annual goals & develop strategies with Billing staff in alignment with the company’s objectives and mission
  2. Provide support, coaching and development to the Billing staff
  3. Supervise daily operations of the Billings team which includes verification & approval of all transactions processed by the staff of the Billings Unit.
  4. Ensure Accuracy in Customer Balances and Invoicing – These would include (but is not limited by) accurate and timely processing of Invoices, Refunds, Write Offs and Collections
  5. Provide a professional, timely and accurate resolution to all Customer/Biller/Inter Department queries.
  6. Develop and Maintain Financial and Management Reports to support Operational, Audit and Strategic initiatives
  7. Analyze the trends in Operational Reports Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to identify the cause of any unexpected variances and to support recommendations for improvements and efficiency.
  8. Perform any ad hoc responsibilities and Business Partnership support as it relates to, but not limited to Billing & Finance

Core Competencies

  • Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Applications with high proficiency in MS Excel
  • Solid attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information
  • Good supervisory skills with past supervisory experience and training.
  • Strong knowledge of Billing & Claims practices and procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a demonstrated ability to multitask or delegate to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to respond timely and professionally to internal and external customers.
  • Strong organizational and managerial skills
  • Results oriented with agility and flexibility to work in groups and individually; onsite and remotely
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently

Education and Job Experience

  • Professional Accounting Degree or completion of ACCA Level II
  • A minimum of seven (7) years accounting or finance related experience in a corporate environment with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to speak Spanish would be an asset
