Job Description – CHEF/COOK

Furness is seeking a passionate, skilled chef/cook to create delicious meals for management. To ensure success in your role as chef/cook, you should be an excellent leader with great organizational skills and impeccable time management. Food prepared must be of excellent quality and served in a timely manner.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares food for Management
  • Seasons food according to recipes or company needs
  • Orders ingredients and spices as needed for meals
  • Portions, arranges, and garnishes food based on management preference
  • Make adjustments to food items to accommodate management with allergies or specific diet concerns.
  • Operates various kitchen appliance such as blender, oven, etc.
  • Communicate with management about how to improve meals.
  • Alter dishes based on management’s suggestions or requirements
  • Creates new recipes to keep the menu fresh
  • Perfectionism in sanitation and quality control

 

The ideal candidate should have a Culinary School Degree/Diploma as well as

experience as a working chef/cook.
