Clinical Specialist- Surgical

 

Job Purpose

Generates demand for brand by detailing products to target customers. Develops and maintains relationships with doctors, nurses and key purchasing personnel to ensure evolving needs are being met.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Provides technical and administrative support to customers. Particular focus on large and contracted accounts, spending 80% of work time meeting with customers in a hospital setting.
  • Attend surgeries and have a constant and direct contact with the customer giving technical and professional support for products within portfolio.
  • Develop and act on plans which identifies opportunities
  • Develops relationships with surgeons and other key personnel within target accounts.
  • Responds to customer needs and acts as liaison between customer and marketing, customer service and quotations departments within AA Laquis.
  • Remains informed of new products and topics of interest to customers, monitors and gathers information on competitive activity and competitor’s selling approaches.
  • Support the launch of new products through product education campaigns, may be required to engage in presentations to nurses and doctors.
  • Plan and implement effective sales/product presentations to customers.
  • Participation in trade shows, conferences and workshops
  • Ability to handle customer questions and objections in a manner that is consistent with product indications and sales training methodology.
  • Submission of periodic activity reports – work plans and outcomes from trade visits
  • Develops monthly and quarterly plans
  • Work closely with sales team to pursue new customers and follow up of existing customer base
  • Processing of customer complaints and returns in accordance with established procedures and policy.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications and Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent tertiary level qualifications
  • At least 1-2 years experience in a sales environment
  • Nursing or operating theatre experience will be an asset
  • Must own a reliable vehicle
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self –starter with strong time management and organization skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
