Main Responsibilities
Develops and implements communications strategy for the Company that builds and maintains a positive corporate brand. Designs and implements an integrated strategic communications plan to advance the Company’s brand identity that broadens awareness and visibility of its programs across key stakeholder audiences. Ensures the company is appropriately and strategically positioned with media, relevant regulatory bodies, industry players and all other relevant stakeholders. Creates and executes public relations strategy that will allow Company leadership to cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences, including the media and key influencers and serves as a spokesperson and lead point person on media interactions. Actively engages, cultivates, and manages press relationships to ensure coverage surrounding any Company special events, public announcements, and other projects
Qualifications/ Experience
Master’s and/or MBA degree in communications, or related field is required, with a minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar senior management role in Oil and Gas industry is preferred.Demonstrated experience and leadership in managing a comprehensive strategic communication, media relations, and marketing program to advance an organization’s mission and goals.
Extensive successful writing and editing experience (external and internal focused) with a variety of print and online communications media.
Stature, gravitas, and confidence to gain the credibility and respect required.
Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented.
Demonstrated skill and comfort in proactively building relationships and in successfully positioning subject matter with the media to achieve high-impact placements.
