Hadco Group is looking for a Corporate Communications Specialist.

JOB SUMMARY

 

  • Engaging, managing, building and growing our social community
  • Responsible for assisting in planning, developing and implementing Public Relations strategies.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate content management on the company’s website and intranet
  • Promoting the company’s corporate image through all other initiatives of the Corporate Communications Department

  

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

This position reports directly to the Group Corporate Communications Manager 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensure all duties for the department are executed in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Be well-spoken/written, create engaging content, and be highly responsive and proactive in keeping users interested and engaged.
  3. Maintain good internal relations.
  4. Responsible for the creation and updating of certain internal and external communications for HADCO Group – emails, memos, notice boards, corporate profiles, presentations, organisation structures, etc.
  5. Ensure all content and communications stay in line with the needs and mission of the overall brand/s and the company at large.
  6. Responsible for the content management of the company’s websites, intranet and social media pages.
  7. Create artwork for internal and external communication.
  8. Responsible for HADCO Group’s Library.
  9. Responsible for editing of all templates for HADCO Group and ensuring the standardization of logos for companies, divisions, letterheads, call cards and other stationery.
  10. Assisting in the development and execution of programs to successfully promote the corporate image of HADCO Group as a socially responsible business entity.
  11. Oversee the archiving of HADCO Group’s documents and memorabilia.
  12. Updating HADCO Group’s Email Database.

 

PRODUCTS & EVENTS

  1. Ensure that all the content for events is submitted in a timely manner to the respective Manager.
  2. Liaise with Managers to review and approve home brand packaging, billboards, etc.
  3. Development, production, coordination and delivery of events from proposal to execution. Managing administrative functions and company events to ensure projects are delivered efficiently. Compilation of guest lists and creation and distribution of invitations. Management and logistics of suppliers and vendors. Public Relations and media coverage for events.

MEDIA & ADVERTISING

  1. Responsible for the thorough review of all advertisements to be published internally and externally by all subsidiaries, ensuring the correct logos, grammar, corporate information and content are used.
  2. Contribute ideas and concepts that will serve to enhance the company’s online presence.
  3. HADCO Times and HADCO Voice – coordination of the development and distribution of the newsletter.
  4. Liaising with Managers to gain knowledge of all company’s activities and events, write articles, do photography, submit to the agency for the production of the newsletter. Assist in editing the layout for final draft to be reviewed by the Group Chief Financial Officer and Group co-Chief Executive Officer. Bi-annually, the aim is to ensure that The HADCO Times is circulated to staff and stakeholders within 4 weeks after publication.
  5. Assist with the development of the company’s Annual Report.
  6. Assist in managing the PR aspect of a potential crisis situation.

 

Website

  1. Be as creative and dynamic as the rapidly changing digital world.
  2. Responsible for assisting in the re-development of all company’s websites. As required, work with website designer and HADCO Group’s ICT Department.
  3. Ensuring all events are updated on the relevant sites in a timely manner.

Social Media

  1. Content Management – Liaise with all Managers to collate current information in each area and responsible for all communication, conflict resolution, and compliance on websites, and social media sites (Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, etc.)
  2. Ensure all content is approved by the respective manager.
  3. Work with all managers in the HADCO Group on a regular basis to understand the brand essence and from this implement creative social media strategies to grow fan base, traffic to our websites and customer engagement.
  4. Creating and updating calendars for social media posts annually.
  5. Track and monitor the performance of social media activities and campaigns on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube and campaigns weekly.

 

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

  1. Encourage, facilitate, and develop relationships with customers and other stakeholders.
  2. Liaising with and answering enquiries from social media, individuals and other organizations.
  3. Disseminating complaints received via digital and traditional media to respective Managers for action.
  4. Conduct Quarterly Surveys based on Customers, Suppliers, Stakeholders and Employees.

 

Flexible to assist in any other activities of the Corporate Communications Department.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Any other functions assigned by the Group co-Chief Executive Officer

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related discipline of study.
  • Experience in social media use will be an asset.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Office applications.

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in social media use and strategy development.
  • Outstanding creative writing, grammar and communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver quality work in a fast paced and high-volume environment.
  • High level understanding of a diverse range of social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of online marketing and tactics.
  • Experience or understanding of Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Maximum will be an asset.
