Food Processing Plant Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Food Processing Plant Manager to oversee our production facility, ensuring efficient operations, compliance with industry regulations, and high-quality output. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing both meat and non-meat food production, plant layout design, and equipment management.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring production targets are met efficiently.

Manage and maintain compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, SQF, etc.).

Optimize plant layout and machinery for streamlined production processes.

Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure product consistency.

Supervise equipment selection, maintenance, and upgrades for meat and non-meat processing.

Lead plant audits and regulatory inspections.

Develop and enforce health and safety protocols.

Train and manage a cross-functional team to uphold operational excellence.

Monitor and improve sustainability practices, including waste reduction.

Stay updated on industry trends and implement innovative food processing solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.

Minimum 5-10 years of experience in food processing plant management, including meat and non-meat production.

Strong knowledge of food safety standards, plant layouts, and industrial machinery.

Experience handling regulatory audits and compliance requirements.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Certifications:

HACCP, ISO 22000, SQF, or other relevant food safety certifications.

OSHA or equivalent safety management training.
