JOB   DESCRIPTION

 

 

POSITION      :      Front Office Supervisor 

REPORTS TO:      Manager, Hotel & Marina

SUPERVISES:        Front Office Reps

 

 

SCOPE 

  • To provide high quality customer service by assisting the Manager by supervising and controlling all front office areas to the standards laid down by the company, maximizing revenues and profits to agreed budgetary limits under the direction of the Manager, Hotel and Marina.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and coordinates the operation of the Front Desk
  • Maintain corporate standards and ensuring that they are adhered to at all times
  • Ensure that all staff know procedures and standards required within their sections and keeping workstation tidy at all times
  • Ensure proper staff attitude towards guests
  • Ensure good personal attitude of all Front Office Staff
  • Promote cooperation between the Front Office and all other departments
  • Coordinate with the Housekeeping department in all pertinent information to ensure a smooth running operation
  • Aid guests with inquiries, requests and complaints
  • Requisition supplies and equipment for the Front Office and maintains a monthly inventory of the supplies
  • Schedule all personnel in the department
  • Discipline subordinates when necessary
  • Assist in training new staff in the Front Office
  • Ensure that the hotel is sold efficiently by front office personnel.
  • Ensure that company policies are adhered to
  • Ensure that all shifts are properly handed over
  • Ensure that a thorough bin bucket is done on each shift
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manger
  • Will occasionally be called upon to perform night audit duties

QUALIFICATIONS  & EXPERIENCE

  • 5 CXC Passes including English Language and Mathematics
  • Computer Literate
  • Knowledge of a foreign language (an asset)
  • Hospitality experience and/or education (an asset)
