POSITION PURPOSE AND SCOPE

 

The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for the management and coordination of the HR function in accordance with the Company’s Human Resource policies and procedures.

 

 

  1. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
  2. Manage day-to-day human resource management and administrative functions;
  3. Manage recruitment process including internal posting of open positions, external solicitation for candidates, interview scheduling, background check processing and completion of new hire paperwork;
  4. Maintain up-to-date recruitment progress report, talent database and all related staffing communication;
  5. Prepare paperwork and distribute new hire packages for all fortnightly and junior management staff;
  6. Assist in the preparation paperwork for terminations, transfers, promotions and employee set-up to ensure accuracy in HR database and personnel files;
  7. Maintain employee database by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, promotions, pay increases; tracking vacation, sick, and personal time;
  8. Assist with monitoring of attendance and punctuality for all branches and provision of monthly attendance reports;
  9. Provide training and coaching to all team members ensuring that they complete the obligatory Focus Brand Quiz and obtain a pass mark of eighty percent and over;
  10. Manage orientation program for employees;
  11. Assist with the Update and maintenance all personnel files;
  12. Assist with the review of time sheets and submit payroll information for all staff for payroll processing;
  13. Conduct exit interviews with crewmembers;
  14. Conduct staffing analysis such as turnover, absenteeism, and employee surveys;
  15. Implement and conduct in-house training, seminars and motivational programmes for employees.
  16. Must adhere to the company’s values, mission and vision.
  17. Provide Head Office relief, when required;
  18. Assist with other duties, as assigned.

III. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. At least five (5) years experience in a senior position in Human Resources;
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management;
  • Experience in food service and/or retail environment would be an asset.
