Human Resource Officer

Basic Job Requirements:

  • Under general supervision, required to perform a variety of human resources functional areas which may include employee/industrial relations, compensation, benefits administration, recruitment, professional development and training, etc.
  • Administers all applicable human resources policies and procedures affecting employees. Provides counselling to all employees and managers on policies and procedures.
  • Develops and implements HR initiatives and systems.
  • Driver for effective onboarding/new hire plans, career development, performance management and succession planning.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills, strong communication and works collaboratively with all employee levels. Demonstrates proficiency in the use of computer based business applications, including a working knowledge of applicable HR systems.

 

Other Job Requirements:

  • Proficient in standard software used in word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, e-mail, schedule management and database management (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Access).
  • Intermediate level interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Superior organizational skills, judgment, and flexibility
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

 

 

Preferred Qualifications | Comments:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Psychology, Business, or related field with five (5) years HR generalist experience.
  • Working knowledge of local industrial relations practices.
