Under general supervision, required to perform a variety of human resources functional areas which may include employee/industrial relations, compensation, benefits administration, recruitment, professional development and training, etc.
Administers all applicable human resources policies and procedures affecting employees. Provides counselling to all employees and managers on policies and procedures.
Develops and implements HR initiatives and systems.
Driver for effective onboarding/new hire plans, career development, performance management and succession planning.
Demonstrates problem-solving skills, strong communication and works collaboratively with all employee levels. Demonstrates proficiency in the use of computer based business applications, including a working knowledge of applicable HR systems.
Other Job Requirements:
Proficient in standard software used in word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, e-mail, schedule management and database management (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Access).
Intermediate level interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
Superior organizational skills, judgment, and flexibility
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Preferred Qualifications | Comments:
Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Psychology, Business, or related field with five (5) years HR generalist experience.
Working knowledge of local industrial relations practices.
