JOB SUMMARY

The primary function of the Human Resources Generalist is to provide high level administrative support through performing a variety of confidential Administrative and Human Resource duties.

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

This position reports to the Group Chief Human Resources Officer and the Group Human Resources Manager directly.

 

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Updating the Human Resource Information System – Bamboo HR.
  • Generating reports as required.
  • Orientation / Onboarding of new hires.  Provides support in recruitment and selection to maintain an efficient employment process; including the development of job descriptions, advertising etc.
  • Assist with performance management, employee relations and the disciplinary process.
  • Collect and collate relevant data for Payroll
  • Assist with the enrolment process for Health and Life Insurance Plans.
  • Collect and analyze time keeping information for all employees.
  • Maintenance of employee files.

 

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties as assigned by the Group Chief Human Resources Officer that may be deemed essential for the effective functioning of the HR Department.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1.    Minimum of 3 years’ experience with an HR Department.

2.    Associates Degree HRM or Psychology.

 

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

  1. Certificate of Character

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  1. Knowledge of HR Management Principles.
  2. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  3. Ability to effectively interpret data and present numerical data in a resourceful manner.

  11. Observing good housekeeping practice.
  12. Reporting the taking of any medication while on the work place to their Supervisor.
