JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Control Clerk works together with the Food Warehouse Managers to ensure that Food and Freezer Warehouse stocks are kept at optimum levels. The incumbent is responsible for liaising with the respective Warehouse Supervisors to ensure that goods are rotated according to the FIFO Method. Stock adjustments must also be done in a timely manner to ensure accuracy in billing and feedback must also be provided to the Warehouse Manager/Inventory Manager to assist in decision-making.

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

This position reports to the Warehouse Manager/Inventory Manager.  There are no persons under supervision.

 

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

HADCO

  1. Performing Physical stock checks as required and designated by the Inventory Manager.
  2. Entering data into stock check reports on EXCEL.
  3. Liaising with the warehouse managers on stock discrepancies and issues.
  4. Investigating credits, invoices and adjustments on Traverse to determine reasons for stock outages.
  5. Rechecking adjustments to account for credits and to ensure mistake are not made.
  6. Collating all adjustments for month end reports.
  7. Filing adjustments and all transactions which the Inventory Department performs.
  8. Assisting with staff sales for expired or damaged goods.
  9. Providing Feedback to Warehouse Manager/Inventory Manager regarding expired goods, Overstocked goods and Slow-moving items.
  10. Overseeing Warehouse/Admin Staff sales ensuring goods are checked by dispatchers and security points.
  11. Assisting in the striping of trucks as required by the Inventory and Warehouse Managers.

 

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs other duties as assigned by Management that may be deemed necessary for the effective functioning of the department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 CXC Ordinary Level passes
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 CXC Ordinary Level Passes
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a customer service environment
  • Pleasant disposition and well mannered
  • Team Player

  • Ability to multitask well
  • Problem Solving Abilities

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

An office environment where work is primarily sedentary in nature, no special demands are required. Physical activity, though varied is very limited.
