Line Cook

  • Prepare, season, and cook dishes such as soups, meats, vegetables, or desserts in restaurants. May order supplies keep records.
  • Perform a variety of food preparation duties other than cooking, such as preparing cold foods and shellfish, slicing meat.
  • Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
  • Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
  • Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
  • Prepare relishes and hors d’oeuvres


Minimum Requirements

Knowledge in professional cooking and knife handling

Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.

Minimum 5 years in a professional kitchen environment.

Valid Food Badge

Police Certificate of Good Character
