Line Cook

Safran Patisserie, Chaguanas is now seeking to hire a Line Cook

The duties of the Line Cook include but are not limited to:

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies

Prepare food for service (e.g. Mise en place – chopping vegetables, preparing sauces just to name a few)

• Cook menu items in cooperation with the manager’s request and guidence
• Answer, report and follow chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements:

• At least three (3) CXC/CAPE subjects, including English Language
• At least 1 or 2 years’ working experience in professional kitchen
• Training and/or experience in Food Service will be an asset.
• Must be able to read and execute recipes
• Knowledge of pastry techniques and mediums
• 100% committed to the job
