Loans Officer

The successful candidate will be required to make site visits to members’ offices to complete loan applications and will be paid a travel allowance.

Responsibilities includes:-

Schedules interviews in conjunction with the Credit Manager to meet Loans Department monthly/annual loans targets.
Interviews loan applicants and assists them in correctly filling out the relevant forms
Responds to members queries on their accounts and other services available
Conduct weekly site visits to members’ offices to complete loan application forms
Process forms actioned by the Credit Committee
Update members on the status of their applications
Comply all documents and cheques prior to submission for disbursement
Assists with preparation of correspondence giving instructions to the Attorney pertaining

Education	Five (5) CSEC subjects including Mathematics and English Associated Degree in Business Management or Evidence of presently pursuing studies in Credit Union Management

Training and Experience	At least three (3) years working experience in a loans / credit department of a financial services institution

Skills	Outstanding people skills that include active listening High level of efficiency and accuracy Excellent oral and written communication skills Knowledge of collateral security documentation and credit risk Time management skills Computer literate
