POSITION REPORTS TO: Managing Director
POSITION PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The Maintenance Co Ordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all general maintenance and repairs, installation, and upkeep operations of the company’s bakeries both locally and regionally, to include plumbing, electrical, mechanical, premises, motor vehicles and other equipment emergencies.
I. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
⦁ Implement and lead all maintenance processes and installation activities within the company’s network of branches locally and regionally, relative to all Brands.
⦁ Perform preventative maintenance services on all equipment, premises and vehicles.
⦁ Maintain all equipment and appliances to ensure it is at working standards.
⦁ Create and maintain a computerised maintenance management system of all equipment, appliances and motor vehicles.
⦁ Oversee maintenance of company vehicles, to ensure timely servicing and acquisition of insurance certificates, in compliance with the law.
⦁ Develop policies and procedures of how maintenance issues are to be handled by branches.
⦁ Conduct regular inspections of the branches to detect and resolve any problems related to equipment/appliances and premises and recommend repair or replacement.
⦁ Repair internal maintenance issues within branches.
⦁ Coordinate with external contractor, the repair and maintenance of plumbing, electrical and other issues relating to the upkeep of the premises.
⦁ Ensure all employees adhere to safety policies and procedures for equipment, appliances and other machinery.
⦁ Assign repair schedules and evaluate the repair cost estimates monthly.
⦁ Prepare monthly reports pertaining to scope of work.
⦁ Estimate time and material costs of repair or new installation work and make recommendations to Management.
⦁ Document and prepare reports of maintenance works in progress and maintenance logs.
⦁ Oversee and maintain inventory of equipment parts, spare parts, and small wares and place orders for new supplies, after consultation with Management.
⦁ Train staff to trouble shoot problems related to appliances and equipment.
⦁ Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs.
⦁ Maintain documentation on all equipment such as, service manuals, assembly drawings, spare parts lists etc.
⦁ Perform other duties as assigned.

III. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
⦁ At least five (5) years experience in maintenance.
⦁ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or facility management.
⦁ Strong knowledge of machinery and equipment, technical features of plumbing and electrical systems.
⦁ Previous management experience would be an asset.
