PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

The Maintenance & Facilities Manager oversees the upkeep and repair of the Company’s facilities and operating equipment to ensure all infrastructures are safe and functioning up to par for business goals to be efficiently met. The manager will also play an important role in developing innovative systems that will improve the operations of the company.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Monitor, audit, and report on effectiveness of plant machinery and distribution fleet, and develop solutions to minimize operational downtime.
  • Receive, investigate, and respond to facility complaints in a timely manner.
  • Schedule corrective or preventative maintenance activities.
  • Allocate activities and manage the performance of Maintenance staff to ensure efficiency.
  • Plan and oversee infrastructural projects from budgeting and vendor sourcing to completion and commissioning.
  • Maintain records of the company’s facilities and equipment, including floor plans, electricals, plumbing, drainage, waste disposal, plant machinery, etc.
  • Help champion the Health and Safety Policy for the Company to ensure compliance with OSH laws.
  • Collaborate with other departments to mitigate infrastructural issues.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance tools and supplies.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
  • MEET or EEET or equivalent qualification
  • Microsoft Office Suite certification (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Proficient with AutoCAD or Solid Works
  • Knowledge and understanding of engineering principles, methods and techniques
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Sound knowledge of electrical and electronic systems
  • Excellent critical thinking, operations analysis and complex problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills (oral and writing)
