Maintenance Technician

To maintain the reliability and safety standards of all Blue Waters Plant Machinery. The job holder will optimize all Mechanical and Pneumatic aspects of the machinery by utilizing systematic and coordinated activities to protect the hardware elements in keeping with Original Equipment Manufacturer instructions and established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Execute preventive maintenance tasks to effectively protect the state of the assets assigned by not only keeping maximum uptime on their functionality but also keeping integrity on the exterior state of the asset (paint, cleanliness, guarding, etc.)
• Participate in the overhaul program as directed by the Maintenance Zone Leader or Manager.
• Support the revision of the preventive maintenance plan by highlighting challenges and making recommendations for improvement to ensure adequate maintenance activities (neither insufficient nor excess).
• Carry out the preventive maintenance tasks assigned diligently, on time and accurately.
• Provide information for the preventive maintenance database to reduce to zero reoccurrence of avoidable machine breakdowns and reporting any obstacles found when the execution is not efficient.
• Perform basic Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic duties on the Company equipment to repair and maintain a high standard of operating efficiency within the department.
• Carry out basic corrective maintenance activities on machinery according to specified response times as well as company identified standards and policies for maintenance.
• Acknowledge any unexpected machine stoppage within 5 minutes when on plant. Be available 100% in front of machines that are not working when on the plant and involvement in fixing the problem is mandatory.
• Demonstrate and maintain the following: Proper tools, Sense of urgency, proper attitude, technical documentation available, correct spares, knowledge to tackle the problem at hand, follow up with Superiors where knowledge is insufficient.

Requirements:

Diploma in MEEET, EEET, MET, 2yr Journeyman Certificate or equivalent qualifications.

At least 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the Manufacturing industry with Technical Certificates as a minimum.
