Mall Manager

Capital Plaza Ltd is seeking to recruit and fill the position of Mall Manager for a mall in downtown Port of Spain. This candidate must be focused on the customer service experience with tenants and ensure the day-to-day operations are run smoothly. The manager must ensure that tenant relationships are built and maintained. The Retail Tenant Manager handles tenant complaints and service requests.

The position reports to The President of Capital Plaza Ltd.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage, develop and maintain open communications with all tenants.
• Must be able to work and develop marketing strategies to improve business.
• Responsible for managing all lease agreements, keeping up to date and offering renewals.
• Respond to tenant request and any problems in a timely and courteous manner. 
• Generate work orders for any maintenance issues.
• Follow up with the tenant to ensure satisfactory resolution to the issue.
• Conduct periodic inspections of the property and tenant spaces to ensure compliance with leases and the proper upkeep of the property.
• Ensure that the property and lease files are properly maintained and kept up to date in accordance with company policy. Prepare and maintain appropriate tenant lease files, records, correspondence and file notes.
• Coordinate regular inventories of all business property.
• Obtain estimates/bids for repairs at the property. Generate and track Service Orders, approvals and distribution.
• Sort, code and ensure accuracy and compliance with contracts of all property related invoices.

• Collect and organize all property information in a format for quick reference.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Must have at minimum two to three years industry experience/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a track record in retail tenant management.
• Must be able to work on a weekend.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  
• Good analytical and strategic thinking.

• Must possess the ability to think proactively, prioritize and multi-task. 
• Time management skills.

• Teamwork, leadership and motivational skills.
