Overview

To attain and retain the level of Membership required for the Association.


What You Will Do

MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT & SERVICE

  • Initiates and develops appropriate membership campaigns and guides the implementation of other robust strategies to promote member recruitment, retention, and engagement.
  • Schedules and attends meetings with business owners, corporate managers, and HR and/or IR Specialists of potential and member companies with the specific objective of recruiting and retaining their membership
  • Develops appropriate relationship with members to encourage participation in activities hosted by the the organization and its subsidiary.
  • Prepares proposal packages for prospective Companies to solicit their membership
  • Lead the development, implementation and execution of appropriate strategies for membership welcome and orientation.
  • Actively follow-up on prospective members
  • Pay courtesy visits to existing members on an ongoing, scheduled basis
  • Maintain the integrity and consistency of the membership application process by securing completed application forms and other required documentation for registration of members
  • Maintains accurate and updated membership listing and mailing list
  • Effectively plans an executes the annual calendar of corporate events as well as develops and executes topical
  • Implements events and associated marketing plans on time and in budget and ensure that the success of all events are measured
  • Reports on weekly conducted visits to existing members and new prospects and prepares a monthly report of individual/departmental activities and results
  • Prepare renewal notices and liaises with member company representatives to confirm their receipt of renewal notices and invoices and to secure payment of invoices
  • Visits members who have cancelled or expressed a desire to cancel their membership in an attempt to recover membership.

BUDGET

  • Assists with the preparation of the annual Membership and Events Budget
  • Achieves a minimum of 100% revenue for Membership and Registration Fees as per Budget 

 

PROMOTING SERVICES

  • Liaises with members (old and new) to advise/inform them of upcoming activities, programmes and events hosted by the organisation
  • Assists with the marketing of in-house and national seminars and workshops for the purpose of achieving high participation from members and non-members
  • Promotes the sale of Publications and other  services on a consistent basis
  • Represents the organization at official meetings, when required

    • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
    • Self-motivated to grow and develop

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in a marketing/communications/sales capacity.
  • Technical experience in development of sales strategies and customer retention initiatives
  • Effective experience in the delivery of superior Customer Service.
  • Practical experience in market research and analysis

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • High degree of organisation, with the ability to work in a challenging and dynamic environment with fixed deadlines and financial targets.
  • A proven track record of aggressive, innovative and growth oriented sales abilities
  • A good working knowledge of roads and districts in Trinidad and Tobago
  • Effective sales promotions implementation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated to grow and develop
  • Ability to:
    • Work on own initiative;
    • Work collaboratively with internal units and with external agencies;
    • Work within tight time frames and prioritize work;
    • Work effectively in a team environment.
