PASTRY CHEF

 

Office Gems is facilitating the recruitment of an experienced PASTRY CHEF for Safran Patisserie in Chaguanas.  Is that you?

 

The duties of the Pastry Chef include but are not limited to:

  1. Preparing a wide variety of pastries following set recipes
  2. Decorating and presenting pastries to tantalize the senses of our customers.
  3. Working with Management to create new and unique desserts to renew the Patisserie’s menu, attract new customers and maximize sales and gross profit.
  4. Ensuring that products are of a consistently high quality to boost sales.

 

Requirements:

  1. Certificate in Food Preparation or Baking or a similar area from a recognised institution.
  2. At least three (3) CXC/CAPE subjects, including English Language
  3. At least three (3) years’ working experience in professional kitchen
  4. Training and/or experience in Food Service will be an asset.
  5. Must be able to read and execute recipes
  6. Knowledge of pastry techniques and mediums
  7. 100% committed to the job
  8. Willing to learn and adapt to the job
