PASTRY CHEF

 

Safran Patisserie, Chaguanas is now seeking to hire a Pastry Chef.

 

The duties of the Pastry Chef include but are not limited to:

  • Willing to learn and adapt to the job
  • To be able to efficiently produce croissants, chocolate croissants, puff pastry dough and some artisan breads. Just To name a few.
  • Presenting pastries up to a high standard, consistently in looks and taste.
  • Producing French style petit gateaux, macarons, eclairs.
  • Preparing a wide variety of pastries and desserts, following set recipes.
  • Decorating and presenting desserts up to a high standard, consistently in looks and taste.
  • Working with management to create new and unique desserts to Review our patisserie’s menu.
  • Working with chocolate, being able to temper and make different garnishes.
  • Preparing a wide variety of pastries following set recipes
  • Decorating and presenting pastries to tantalize the senses of our customers.
  • Working with Management to create new and unique desserts to renew the Patisserie’s menu, attract new customers and maximize sales and gross profit.
  • Ensuring that products are of a consistently high quality to boost sales.

 

Requirements:

  • At least three (3) CXC/CAPE subjects, including English Language
  • At least three (3) years’ working experience in professional kitchen
  • Training and/or experience in Food Service will be an asset.
  • Must be able to read and execute recipes
  • Knowledge of pastry techniques and mediums
  • 100% committed to the job
