Plant Manager

The Plant Manager will oversee all daily operations of all the Company’s Plants which includes planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations to maximize output while maintaining costs.

  • Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
  • Oversee the allocation of resources and ensure assets are fully utilized to produce optimal results.
  • Implement strategies in alignment with strategic objectives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus for the team.
  • Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions to guard against wastage and downtime in the Plants.
  • Share a trusting relationship with the team and recruit, manage and develop Plant staff.
  • Monitor and implement strategies to enforce safety policies and standards to build a standardized safety culture within each Plant.
  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets

Requirements and skills

  • At least a degree in Production/ Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least five (5) years proven work experience as a Plant Manager in the Manufacturing industry.
  • Proven managerial experience
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (Budgeting, Strategic Planning, Resource Allocation and Human Resources).
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
  • Be knowledgeable about safety, quality, productivity, demand creation and inventory processes
  • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
  • Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
