Provide technical and administrative support in the development and maintenance of a Training and Development system that supports continuous development and knowledge transfer of the employees in the Plant. The job holder will work with the Management and Supervisory team to identify, design, deliver, coordinate and evaluate the training activities that are required to drive the desired business goals. He/ she will establish a library of all training records and presentations and report on the Training Return on Investment to maintain the effectiveness of the system, and to support planning and decision-making. The job holder will implement strategies to strengthen the training and evaluation processes, embed compliance with the Company’s standards and promote alignment of the system with the Company’s strategic mandate and recognized best practices

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Conduct needs assessments to identify learning needs at the individual and departmental levels.
  • Guide Supervisors and Managers in effectively identifying and addressing employee development needs.
  • Review training needs to create an Annual Training Plan for the Plant and Training Calendar/Schedule.
  • Conduct research, design, facilitate and or lend support in developing and delivering relevant in-house training and development initiatives. • Review training proposals and associated costs to ensure appropriate return on training investment.
  • Coordinate the execution and delivery of online, in-house, local and foreign training activities.
  • Provide support to Managers and Supervisors in determining the transfer of learning and calculation of Return on Training Investment.
  • Establish /Maintain/ Update training records/systems and library of training materials.

 

Requirements:-

  • A BSc. In Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar role educating adult students.
  • Train the Trainer Certification would be considered an asset.
  • Proven experience evaluating the Return on Training Investment
