Primary/Secondary School Teacher/Teacher’s Assistants
Location: Woodbrook
JOB TITLE: Teacher I/II/III
*Please note that teachers will mainly be responsible for teaching lower-level primary subjects and secondary classes.
Requirements:
- Primary school applicants must be able to teach at the primary level. (Standard Four).
- Secondary school applicants must be able to teach at the secondary level.
(Subjects: Mathematics, English A & B, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, ICT, POA, POB, Social Studies, History, French and Spanish)
Full-time teachers must be able to teach at least 6 of the subjects above at a lower or upper secondary school level.
Part-time teachers must be able to teach at least 3 of the subjects above at a lower or upper secondary school level.
- Secondary school teacher applicants must be acquainted with the CSEC curriculum.
- Must be able to develop schemes of work, lesson plans and track students’ performance.
- Must be competent in Microsoft Office, Excel and Google Classroom.
- Must possess a laptop to conduct classes online (if needed) and review/ edit academic material created by the academy.
- Must be able to use online learning platforms to conduct classes.
- Candidates applying for teaching positions must have:
- A minimum of 2 years teaching experience. o Tertiary level education.
- Candidates must have experience dealing with neurodivergent students.
- A degree in education or in the related field for which the applicant is applying is required.
Candidates applying for a teaching assistant position must have:
- Candidates must have experience dealing with neurodivergent students.
- A minimum of 4 CAPE subjects.
