Residing within the Production Department the Process Operator I is responsible for supporting safe and reliable operations within the Company’s facility. Initially, particular emphasis will be placed on training and development and any other site operational support in preparation for the commercialization of the project.
The position performs routine and non-routine operations in all field areas of the plant, with an emphasis on safety and reliability, and supports the achievement of production targets, and contributes to department and company goals, whilst maintaining a strong safety core, and is a member of the Emergency Response Crew, in particular, during night shifts. Additionally, the position is required to take instructions with regards to managing the plant during normal, abnormal and emergency conditions and maintain a high on-stream factor in producing a quality product without neglecting safety and the environment.
Qualifications/ Experience Required
A minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in a process plant industry, with a Technician’s Diploma/Certificate in PPO/MET/EEET or a Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering. Demonstration of basic knowledge of Hydrocarbon Reforming and Reformer Operations; Synthesis Reactor Optimization and Concepts; Fractionation Process and Permit to Work Systems are required. Proven ability to troubleshoot problems that may affect plant efficiency, quality of products or plant equipment life and provides solutions is critical. Isolation of critical equipment for maintenance and return to service.
