This position reports to the Senior Procurement Specialist and is responsible for supporting the Departmental sourcing strategy, by ensuring lowest product cost and risk through supplier management, strategic negotiations, spend analysis and continuous process improvement This position is required to manage workflows within assigned aspects of the process utilizing a customer centric, consultative approach. The Procurement Specialist must be able to manage and monitor customer relationships and provide problem solving solutions, in addition to being able to manage and monitor changes in the industry.
Qualifications/ Experience Required
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University, with a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible Supply Chain related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. CIPS or equivalent is preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in sourcing best practices, analysis and preparation of contract agreements, with a proven understanding of procurement functions, and management of internal and external relationships is required.
