Creamery Novelties Limited is looking for Production Attendants.
JOB SUMMARY
The Production Attendant is required to be part of a production team that creates high quality frozen desserts. He/she performs a variety of routine tasks including filling, covering, coding, inspecting, sorting, packaging, casing product, checking dates and labels for accuracy.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assist with the daily cleaning, assembly, and disassembly of production equipment in order to start production operations and at the end of operations.
- Pays attention to detail, must be able to complete multiple and repetitive tasks and must be committed to safety, accuracy, and quality.
- Monitor product filling line for proper container fill.
- Manually fill product into various packages.
- Manually pack product into cartons.
- Ensure packages are properly sealed.
- Ensure labeling is properly affixed.
- Ensure correct date coding on individual packages and cartons.
- Assist in operating various machines to prepare ice cream mixes and chocolate coating and to convert prepared mixes into finished products. Machines include but are not limited to electronic balances, blending systems, pasteurizing systems, homogenizers, fillers, carton openers and coding machines.
- Assist in proper cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and ancillaries before, during and after use.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Any other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor that may be deemed necessary for the effective functioning of production operations.

- Reporting the taking of any medication while in the workplace to their supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Secondary school certification or other relevant qualification.
- Ability to read, write, count and perform arithmetic computations.
- Standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, twisting, stooping.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous production and/or manufacturing experience is desired but not essential
- Ambition to learn.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to receive and follow instructions.
- Ability to work shifts, overtime, and weekends.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50lb (23kg).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in dairy operations or other Food Manufacturing Environment
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in food processing

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
A manufacturing environment – the ability to multitask as various activities such as bending, lifting, walking, sitting, turning, climbing and repetitive motion are necessary. It is essential that all HSSE policies and procedures are followed in an effort to create a safe and comfortable working environment for all. Therefore, activities such as bending, lifting, climbing, cleaning with chemicals etc. must be done in the correct manner; and employees must wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to ensure that any risk to self, others, or property is minimized.
