Quality Control Manager

Job Title: Quality Control Manager

Reports to: Plant Manager Department:

Location : Arima

Purpose:

To support the activities of the Quality Control Department operational functions by leading and coordinating:

To oversee all activities of the Quality Control Department operational functions by following established procedures in the
Processing facility to ensure compliance to Food Safety and Quality Standards.
Leading the implementation, maintenance and improvement of operational food safety programs
The Maintenance of Food Safety and HSE systems, standards and processes
New implementations, corrective actions and performance reporting.
Training and inspecting requirements to satisfy the business objectives and continuous improvement culture throughout all operations.

Minimum Required qualifications and experience:

Minimum requirements: B.Sc. Degree in Human Ecology/ Food Science/ Food Safety & Quality/Occupational Safety,
Health or Environment (with risk assessment and control procedures) OR certification in the aforementioned disciplines with eight (8) years’ experience in the field of quality/safety or environmental management within a manufacturing environment.
Leadership skills including the ability to coach/ influence the development of a food safe culture.
Sound working knowledge/principles of the following standards ISO 9001:2015 ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 (knowledge of ISO17025:2005 is an advantage) ISO 22000, HACCP and NSF.
Sound report writing and inspecting/auditing ability.
Good communication skills.
Risk evaluation and control program development
