RELIABILITY & MAINTENANCE PLANNER

The company based in central Trinidad is seeking to recruit a Reliability and Maintenance Planner for it operations nationwide. Our ideal Reliability and Maintenance Planner must have at least seven (7) years of preventative/reliability maintenance experience ideally, working with heavy construction equipment.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee the maintenance and reliability of fleet vehicles and heavy construction equipment for use in plant maintenance and civil works.

  • Manage the planning and scheduling of all preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or Project Management Software in scheduling work to be completed.
  • Perform condition assessment to plan and schedule preventative maintenance.
  • Oversee the continuous improvement of asset management strategies including both trouble shooting and root cause analysis tools.
  • Assign and manage a range of equipment and fleet maintenance projects.
  • Assist in maintaining tracking system for all work orders.
  • At the direction of the Senior Management act as a liaison to outside vendors.
  • Maintains machine center repair manuals/schematics.
  • Coordinate different departments in scheduling day to day repairs (PM) or maintenance.
  • Coordinate with Shop-Floor Supervisors to ensure all work orders are completed timely while minimizing production disruption.
  • Facilitate planning and maintenance meetings with relevant personnel daily.
  • Review personnel performance, suggest and discuss worker training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, and equipment use.
  • Support Senior Management in ensuring maintenance expenses are contained within budget.
  • As needed, effectively oversee maintenance personnel to ensure that all assigned activities are performed effectively within HSSE guidelines, company and departmental operational guidelines and where required client guideline (Plant Maintenance).
  • Establish maintenance staff schedule as necessary.
  • Enter requisitions for parts and maintain parts room to ensure adequate inventory.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair plant equipment as necessary.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum seven (7) years of maintenance scheduling experience required.
  • Strong working knowledge of CMMS or Project Management Software.
  • Evidence of formal qualification in equipment repair and maintenance and/or CMMS or Project Management Software.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
