Sales Executive

The Nicholas Group of Companies owns and operates as part of the Group of Companies, the Radisson Group of hotels in the Caribbean. We are seeking to recruit a dynamic, competitive and highly motivated individual to join its team as Sales Executive for Radisson Trinidad Ltd. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain a deep understanding of the hotel’s existing and potential client base. 
  • Proactively reaches out to organizations, associations and companies that may require hotel rooms and/or meeting space for conferences and/ or events, via site visits and other mediums.
  • Devise new ways to expand client base through prospecting, marketing and key relationships, and anticipating the competition.
  • Contact customers via calls or arranged meetings to discover their needs and requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services.
  • Prepare and present sales proposal to potential clients, highlighting the best features and qualities of the hotel on approval.
  • Must have knowledge of what is happening in the market, such as, events, celebrations, etc.
  • Provide customers with a list of available services and their accompanying prices when necessary.
  • Provide back up support to the Reservations Team and Management of customer loyalty scheme.
  • Compilation of performance reports on a daily/weekly & monthly basis to the Director of Sales.
  • Assist clients in selecting the most appropriate service that best meet their specifications and needs.
  • Oversee the booking and reservation of space at the hotel to ensure availability and proper arrangement.
  • Monitor the customer service quality of the hotel to ensure customers are tended to appropriately.
  • Assist Director of Sales with negotiating, designing, and implementing special group rates for key accounts.
  • Network with special event planners to increase bookings for different types of events.
  • Process and facilitate requests for customized services such as room redecoration, and equipment.
  • Coordinate and organize the details of an event such as catering, lodging, seating, and security.
  • Handles any complaints or reviews related to group/corporate sales or marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain contact with clients to obtain feedback and to discuss opportunities for future business arrangements.
  • Conduct assessment of sales performance to make necessary adjustments to increase patronage.
  • Attendance and representation of company during trade fairs, consumer shows and key industry events.
  • Report on key sales metrics to management on a regular basis to ensure activity goals are being met.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales.

 

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline such as Marketing or Business
  • Management. Minimum 3 years proven experience as a Sales Executive or relevant role. 
  • Having a specialization in hospitality management would be an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.

 

Skills required:

  • Being knowledgeable of the market would be an asset.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to demonstrate good negotiating techniques.
  • Good leadership skills.
  • The candidate must have strong organisation skills for events and coordinating hotel operations to ensure clients’ needs are met.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Must be able to set up projector and mike system.
  • Must be able to work on weekends should the need arise.
