The Sales & Marketing Team Lead is responsible for the development and performance of all sales’ activities while providing leadership to achieve maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision. The Sales & Marketing Team Lead establishes strategies to expand the customer base and contributes to the development and training of sales staff.



  • Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry, researching, and analyzing sales options.
  • Performs sales activities on major accounts and negotiates sales price and discounts in consultation with Directors.
  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
  • Manages sales specialists and provide regular results assessments of sales staff’s while reviewing progress.
  • Forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams.
  • Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company’s products.
  • Formulates sales policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Assists sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with top decision-makers.
  • Collaborates with Directors to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines.
  • Interprets short- and long-term effects of sales strategies on operating profit.
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
  • Act as a member of the Research and Development team to manufacture new products based on the specific needs of customers.
  • Manage the Retail Operations to ensure maximum levels of profitability and review possible expansion opportunities.
  • Assess marketing potential of new and existing store locations, considering statistics and expenditures.
  • Perform other related duties as required by job function based on the exigencies of the company.
  • Accomplishes marketing and sales human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Achieves marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; reviewing quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs, developing field sales action plans.
  • Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor’s share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
  • Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product development.
  • Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
  • Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading industry publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Accomplishes marketing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as instructed by Directors.


Educational Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educated to degree level or relevant qualification in marketing or business administration (specializing in Sales/Marketing)
  • 3-5 years senior level experience in sales and marketing.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment will be an asset
  • Experience in local trade and export markets preferred.
  • Experience in the seafood/frozen food industry.

  • Must have excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Should be able to identify new trends in the market and design sales strategies and campaigns to respond to them.
