What You Will Do
Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.
Make telephone calls and in-person visits as required to prospective customers.
Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
Analyzes the market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective
customers value to the organization.
Creates and manages a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities.
Identifies advantages and compares organization’s products/services.
Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interest, competitive advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
Solicit orders for goods over the telephone and in person.
Coordinate sales efforts with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
Explain the products to potential customers.
Receive and process orders for customers by preparing relevant documentation such as Sales orders and invoices and enter on Peachtree.
Obtain contact details of potential customers from sources including telephone directories
and purchased lists.
Schedule appointments for Management to meet prospective customers as required.
Conduct customer and marketing surveys.
Answer telephone calls from potential customers who are responding to advertisements.
Contact customers to follow up on initial interaction.
Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor’s share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business.
Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product development.
Responsible for the Company’s social media platform and other mediums of advertising.
Assist with all promotional activities.
Assist with administrative and office tasks as required.
Perform other related tasks as assigned by Management.
