Job Summary:
Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager the Senior Process Engineer is primarily responsible for assisting with developing and implementing the Process Engineering asset management strategy throughout the lifecycle of the Facility. This position ensures that all equipment and systems operate efficiently and optimally during the construction, commissioning and operational phases.
The position functions as the Process Engineering Technical Authority for all Process Engineering matters on behalf of NETL and establishes and maintains flow assurance models for the operating facility using HYSYS; establishes and maintains Heat, Material and Steam balances for the Facility, and reviews and approves thermodynamic and hydraulic calculations, pressure relief systems and logic diagrams by in-house and design contractors. Additionally, provides Process Engineering support for Technology and Engineering improvement projects during the lifecycle of the Facility and leads the Turnaround planning of Process Engineering, related activities.
Qualifications/ Experience Required
The ideal candidate must possess a BSc Degree in Process/Chemical Engineering, with at least ten (10) years overall Process Engineering experience in the Petrochemical and/or Oil and Gas sector. At least three (3) years working knowledge and experience in flow assurance modelling, and a minimum of (3) years working knowledge and experience with the performance evaluation and monitoring of critical process plant equipment such as; Steam Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, Pumps, Steam Reformers, Steam Boilers, Cooling Towers and Catalyst. At least four (4) years working experience with the development and delivery of Process related improvement/modification OPEX and CAPEX projects.
Working knowledge and Experience with the MS Office suite, HYSYS, and a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as MAXIMO, SAP or Docushare. Working knowledge of Logic Drawings (ILD), Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s), Cause and Effects charts, Systems and Process Hazard Analyses (PHA’s), such as HAZOPS and What If’s. Must possess a positive Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) culture.
