Job Summary

A critical thinker with detail-oriented abilities who will be responsible for Maintaining and Troubleshooting Data Systems. The Systems Analyst works with the ICT team within the established procedures to ensure functionality and smooth operations of the systems.  The responsibilities include performing SQL Scripting and reporting, audits, staff training sessions, and monitoring and reporting all system activity, implementing access controls to preserve the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the computer systems.

The Systems Analyst should be thorough and detail-oriented, with excellent technical SQL skills and should be skilled at drafting training policies and training employees to use the systems as per best practices.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for administration of the Group’s ERP Application – installing, extending, and troubleshooting data solutions.
  • Updating software with the latest security patches/fixes and ensuring the proper defenses are present for each data resource.
  • Configuring data systems, analyzing data requirements, and recommending improvements.
  • Monitoring data systems for suspicious behavior and capacity planning.
  • Creating access policies and authorization roles and defending against unauthorized access, modifications, and destruction.
  • Consulting with staff, about the best data systems practices and providing technical advice.
  • Training staff to understand and use data systems for best practice.
  • Assess internal processes and procedures related to Data Systems.
  • Perform remediation of security audit findings.
  • Troubleshoot SQL Server related issues
  • Create and Monitor Backups
  • Reporting – Use of SQL and other Reporting Tools to produce custom reports.
  • Must be able to work in a cross functional team assisting in other areas when required.

 

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with SQL, Preferably MS SQL 2017 and later
  • Advanced training certifications in SQL and ERP Solutions.
  • Knowledge of IIS 7.0 or higher along with other Microsoft Server Technologies
  • A strong understanding and knowledge of SQL and ERP systems.
  • Good teaching, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be an overall team player and open-minded to new ideas and methodology.
