Royal Castle Limited is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the  following position: 

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT OFFICER 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Identifies training and development needs within the organization through job  analysis, appraisal schemes and/or through frequent consultation with the Human  Resource Manager, and other management personnel. 

Assists in the completion of annual Training Plans for the organization. Creates and delivers a range of training materials and workshops using face to  face, digital and blended options, tailored to the various departments and job  functions. 

Engages and contracts other Subject Matter Experts to complete training  programs, in specific technical areas, where required.  

Prepares estimates of the costs of training programs and maintains expenses  within the budget.  

Liaises with Management on completed training and facilitates follow up sessions  to gauge the effectiveness of training programs on employee’s  behaviour/performance. 

Devises individual learning plans and assists in conducting employee skills  evaluations. 

Develops effective induction programs for new management and staff.  Maintains and updates employees’ training records. 

Organizes training including reviewing the list of participants, distribution of  materials for training, monitoring trainees in training as well as supporting  Trainers with training sessions, as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

 Knowledge: 

Instructional design, learning theories and training methodologies Microsoft Office Suite 

Advanced organizational and interpersonal skills 

Ability to: 

Present effectively with the ability to engage and motivate Trainees Develop and maintain good working relationships 

Efficiently manage time while working in a fast paced and dynamic environment Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization (written and oral) Work well under pressure  

Think strategically and proactively solve problems 

Multi-task while maintaining efficiency 

Work collaboratively across departments and influence stakeholders 

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Minimum qualification of an undergraduate degree in Human Resource  Management, Business Administration or other equivalent certification  OR 

A combination of relevant experience and qualifications 

A minimum of five (5) years’ progressive Human Resources experience in a  similar role for a medium to large organization 

Restaurant experience would be considered an asset
