An employer confidential required Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance Planner, to improve productivity and quality of service provided by avoiding delays through planning, scheduling and coordinating resources, parts and materials.   The successful candidate will utilize the Company’s in-house Maintenance Planning Software (TMA), Historical Records, and Inspection Methods to facilitate the implementation of an approved Maintenance Plan that encapsulates: – Preventative Maintenance, Service Schedules, Overhauls, Major Repairs, Emergency Response and Cleaning.

 

VEHICLE & EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE PLANNER

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain a Maintenance Plan that encapsulates requirements for: – Labour, Parts, Materials, Facility Space, Time, Tools and any other resource requirement necessary to execute the Maintenance Plan.
  • Execution of the Maintenance Plan to entail inspection reports that cover various Sections: – Trucks, Crane, Civil Equipment (heavy machinery and equipment), Light Vehicles, Body Shop, Engine, Small Equipment, Air Conditioning, Tyre and Electrical (all sections).
  • Execution of the Maintenance Plan to entail an Emergency Response Listing (Break-Down List) for all Sections and related equipment, mechanical and electrical.
  • Execution of the Maintenance Plan to entail a detailed forecast of parts and materials required for both the short term and medium term (weekly and monthly).
  • Execution of the Maintenance Plan to entail adequate and timely budgeting, through the analysis of historical data for both short, medium and long term (quarterly, semi-annual and annual); budgets must consider scheduled and projected work requirements from all Company Divisions.
  • Prepare and distribute detailed Work Plans for all Sections, and act as the primary contact, facilitator and problem solver in the execution of the Maintenance Plan.
  • Actively liaise with Section Heads, Auto Mechanics, Auto Electricians and Purchasing Clerks to ensure accurate/timely purchasing and delivery of parts, oils and materials to satisfy the requirements of the Maintenance Plan and all pre-scheduled Work Orders.
  • Consult with Sections Supervisors in opening and closing Work Orders pre and post inspection.
  • Maintain a Work Order report that addresses: – assigned parts and labour, responsibilities, time, authorizations, equipment IDs, VIN numbers, mileage and a description/details of the work to be conducted.
  • Maintain a scheduled review and audit of records on the Company’s TMA related to but not limited to: – Preventative Maintenance (PMs), Work Orders, Purchasing and Inventory Levels.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • A minimum of a diploma in Mechanical/Automotive/Equipment Engineering.
  • Project Management/Planning, Scheduling, TMA/SAP or other ERP certification or experience.
  • Considerable knowledge of all aspects of Heavy Civil Equipment, Cranes, Trucks, Light Vehicles, Small Equipment, Body Repair, Automotive Air Conditioning, Automotive Electrical and Tyres.
  • String Computer Literate and report writing abilities will be an asset
  • Equivalent combinations of educations, skills and experience will be considered.
