Warehouse Attendant – Inventory

JOB SUMMARY
This position is primarily geared towards ensuring that goods are offloaded from containers in good condition, sorted and accurately dispatched to the relevant warehouses. This is an entry level position which requires physical fitness and endurance.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to the Senior Inventory Control Clerk.  There are no persons under supervision.
WORKING HOURS:
Monday to Friday – 12 noon to 9pm, however you will be required to work longer hours as needed.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Offloading containers.
  2. Sorting goods by item.
  3. Reporting any discrepancies to Senior Inventory Control Clerk.
  4. Packing the relevant warehouses when necessary.
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other duties as assigned by Management that may be deemed necessary for the effective functioning of the department.

  12. Observing good housekeeping practice.
  13. Reporting the taking of any medication while on the workplace to their Supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3 CXC Ordinary Level passes
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5 CXC Ordinary Level Passes
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a customer service environment
  • Pleasant disposition and well mannered
  • Team Player

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
  • Forklift License
  • Certificate of Character
