• Establishes the policy framework for managing and maintaining electronic data systems for internal and external customers/stakeholders.
• Establishes and maintains records management policies and classifications systems.
• Ensures that a comprehensive disaster recovery system is in place at all times for Company information system assets.
• Resolves related problems with information technology support and management to achieve strategic objectives.
• Conducts training throughout the organization so as to ensure that users are able to maximize the capacity of the information network and thereby meet corporate objectives.
• Ensures 100% availability of all IT systems with particular emphasis on mission critical, real-time, transaction processing.
• Ensures 100% data accuracy and integrity within databases.
• Establishes, maintains and improves Change Management and Control processes and accountability within all layers of the retail systems.
• Oversees the diagnosis and rectification of problems arising in the retail environment including ensuring that such problems are proactively mitigated on a go forward basis.
• Leads the research, analysis, procurement and implementation of new devices, operating systems and communications technologies in support of applications.
• Establishes, maintains and improves procedures and processes to support all dependent departments, with particular emphasis on the production of timely, accurate and user friendly reports.
• Supports all management officers in accessing ad hoc data in pursuit of in depth business analysis.
• Must be able to work after hours, weekends and on public holidays when required.
• Must own reliable motor vehicle.
• Perform other related duties as required

REGISTRAR, PSYCHIATRY

  The incumbent will be responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of in and out patients.  Work involves contributing to and executing management care plans for patients in the unit.  Also, responsible for the daily management and control of the wards, in-patients, out-patients and specialty clinics.  

Main Responsibilities

 

• Consults with the organisational relationship to ensure that the daily clinical operations are effectively organised, monitored and controlled.
• Performs regular clinical rounds with the medical team to assess patients’ day to day management and care.
• Collaborates and communicates with the senior nursing staff to ensure the best nursing practices in the management of patients under care.
• Supervises the performance of House Officers when on call and monitors all seriously ill patients within the shortest possible time.
• Supervises at least one clinical round during each twelve-hour session.
• Recommends intelligent and cost effective use of the Laboratory/Radiological services and such contributions to diagnose and manage inherent reliability.
• Ensures that Laboratory/Radiological forms are adequately annotated to assist such staff in providing optimal services.
• Supervises the use of drugs and their efficacy and duration in patient care and ensures prevention of their abuse.
• Ensures proper communication to all patients on the nature of their illnesses and the outlook in the treatment of their well-being, so that they understand the full extent of their recovery/disability as may be the case.
• Ensures that all patients are treated in accordance with the Patient Charter Standards.
• Ensures that all case discharge summaries are promptly written, and are accurate, relevant and concise, and must be countersigned.
• Keeps the Consultant informed of any difficulties that may arise in the management of any patient and seeks such assistance.
• Supervises and assesses the clinical competences of House Officers and Interns and sensitises the Consultant.
• Monitors and checks the accuracy of histories and physical examination findings of the House Officers and reviews their standards of note-keeping.
• Coaches and initiates knowledge sharing to House Officers and Interns assigned to the unit in collaboration with other Consultants.
• Guides, monitors and recommends to House Officers and Interns, appropriate management practices in patient care.
• Assists the Consultant with the research projects.
• Adheres to the professional code of conduct, Medico-legal principles and human resources policies and procedures of the Authority.
• Attends and participates in teaching clinics, rounds and lectures.

  Minimum Qualification, Requirements and Experience:

• Postgraduate Degree in the relevant specialist field, evidenced by registration with Specialist status with the Medical Board of Trinidad and Tobago.
• Minimum of two (2) years postgraduate experience/training in the area of specialisation.

• Where sub-specialisation is indicated or required, i.e. Psychiatry, proficiency in this area should be indicated during the Postgraduate training period.

SALES REPRESENTATIVE

The Sales Representative is responsible for undertaking and managing the field sales of the company’s range of Chemical Cleaning and Sanitizing Products for designated geographical areas. They will be primarily required to visit existing, new and potential customers on a daily basis to ensure they maintain an adequate customer base to meet/surpass monthly budgets.   Duties

• Ensure that monthly budgeted targets are met and exceeded through proper planning and execution.

ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

The incumbent will be responsible for providing administrative, clerical and financial support to all levels of managerial and line accounting staff for the achievement of effective, efficient and accurate outcomes in the department.   Main Responsibilities:  

• Collects, sorts and processes accounting documents and information such as journals, payroll documents, statistical data/output levels, invoices, receipts and reports etc. on a daily basis.
• Reviews accounting documents and information for accuracy and completeness on a daily basis.
• Resolves all discrepancies associated with documents/information presented for processing with all relevant internal departments and /or external contacts.
• Enters and processes accounting transactions in the accounting system on a daily basis.
• Directly interacts with internal departments and external customers/contacts to resolve queries and to provide accurate and relevant information on a daily basis.
• Maintains supplier accounts and balances in accordance with the company policy and reconciles supplier accounts to resolve all discrepancies with the accounting system on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Collects and deposits all receipts by the Authority and enters all receivable transactions into the accounting system on a daily basis.
• Maintains and updates the Fixed Asset Register on the accounting system in accordance with the Authority’s Fixed Asset Policy which includes: capitalizing, labeling and verification of fixed assets.
• Analyses the General Ledger accounts on a monthly basis to ensure the complete and accurate accounting of all transactions in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and prepares General Ledger/Audit schedules.
• Prepares adjusting journals/transactions for entry into the accounting system.
• Collects and deposits cheques from various sources primarily the Ministry of Health, banks, employees, refunds etc.
• Prepares Value Added Tax (VAT) returns on a monthly basis.
• Prepares monthly bank reconciliations and investigates, resolves and journalises all reconciling items/discrepancies.
• Prepares daily and weekly work schedules to accomplish the assigned duties in accordance with required performance standards.
• Maintains filing records.
• Prepares business letters, memoranda, management reports etc.
• Disburses and replenishes petty cash in accordance with the Financial Policies and Procedures and records all petty cash transactions on a daily basis.
• Batches payment documents/vouchers and prints cheques on a daily basis.
• Collates monthly statistical reports for all units under the Authority.
• Collects budget and costing data; enters and prepares budget allocation worksheets for the periodic budget reports.
• Assists in the calculation and analysis of expenditure variances.
• Verifies stock count entries for all institutions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepares payroll expenditure reports on a monthly basis.
• Disburses cheques, payslips and any other documents to internal customers and external parties.

  Minimum Qualifications, Training and Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) CXC O’level passes; two (2) of which must be English Language and Mathematics.
• Completion of Level 1 Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), or completion of the Advanced Level in Certified Accounting Technician (CAT), or any other equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience in an accounting environment.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
